Family phonetics

noun family; plural noun: families

  1. a group consisting of two parents and their children living together as a unit.
  2. all the descendants of a common ancestor.

Every family has it’s own unique story, it’s own unique place in history.

For a few families, the footprint is huge – they leave an everlasting legacy – they’re lauded publicly for their contribution to industry, public life, the arts, the community. Others exist far more anonymously, beavering away out of the public eye, without the pursuit or expectation of fame or fortune. Important nonetheless.

What all families share in common however is their exposure to life’s extremes – to highs and lows, to love and hate, success and failure, triumph and tragedy. In that sense all families are rich and interesting tapestries, ready to be woven into words.

Regrettably, most family stories remain unwritten folklore. Forebears live and die before their memories and achievements are captured, chronicled, and passed onto the next generation, and the generations after that.

All too often family history just disappears.

Is that you? Is that the fate awaiting your family history?

Why not engage a professional author to research, structure and write your family memoir? A memoir that will be presented in
a thoughtful and entertaining way, a memoir that will become a treasured family heirloom.

Michael writes in a compelling fashion. With great use of anecdotes and humour. He shows genuine insight into his subject matter. With reference to Bubble Boys, I looked, liked, then loved this book.

Peter FitzSimons, 2014

I must admit, when I started this process, I had my reservations, but the deeper we went, the more I started to enjoy it. Michael has an innate ability to bring to life even the most ordinary occurrence! He is a wonderful teller of stories, but always maintains a high level of empathy and compassion.
