A realistic time frame for your writing project. Humans – especially writers – need dead lines. If a book is something you’re “aiming to finish some day”, you just might. When you’re 85. But the chances are, your material will remain in piecemeal jotting form for the rest of your waking days.
Commit to an achievable end date, and work backwards, setting milestones of progress along the way.
A little bit each day – an hour early in the morning for instance – is admirable. Momentum is important.
Quote – “I love deadlines. I like the whooshing sound they make as they fly by.” – Douglas Adams
